All descriptions and illustrations contained in this website are only intended to give a general idea of the products, specifications may vary slightly.

Buying Online:

Couldn’t be simpler, just browse the site choose those favourite sweets and order. Protx sanction credit card payments, so please make sure that you fill in the correct details. This will help us to process your order quickly. Once your order has been processed your goods will be dispatched the same day (Monday to Friday). Your card will be charged in sterling pounds.

Are my Credit Card details safe?

Your credit card details are securely processed by one of the leading companies in the field: Protx.

We do not receive any credit card information ourselves - only a confirmation that the transaction has been authorised.

Postage and Packing-Delivery:

We endeavor to send your goods the same day that we receive your order. Once your order has been processed the goods will be packed and dispatched, obviously orders received late afternoon will be dispatched the following morning. Delivery U.K Mainland usually within 3-4 days. Overseas 4-7days. Orders over 2kg including packaging will be sent by courier.

PLEASE NOTE

All courier deliveries will require a signature to ensure that it is delivered safely. You have the opportunity at the Checkout to give special shipping instructions. The courier will attempt to deliver the parcel on two occasions-leaving a card so that you can contact them to make arrangements for delivery or a convenient time for you to pick them up from their depot. After two unsuccessful deliveries the parcel will automatically be returned to us.

Resending the parcel or changing delivery address, once the parcel has been dispatched will incur a cost of £10.95. Obviously this cost will have to be passed on to you! PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR DELIVERY ADDRESS IS CORRECT AND THAT YOU ENTER ANY RELEVANT DETAILS IN THE SPECIAL INSTRUCTION BOX (ie:Leave at neighbours, or in shed etc )

If you are unlikely to be available to receive your package and you would like it to be left with a neighbour for example, please state this here. A signature will still be required.

If, on the other hand, you would like the package to be left, for example, on your doorstep, in your porch or in some other similar "safe place" please type this into your special shipping instructions. Because no signature will then be taken, neither the courier nor Village Sweet Shop can be held responsible for your package after it has been delivered.

A typical delivery time is 3-4 working days from the date of placing of the order providing the goods are in stock. In exceptional circumstances delivery may take longer, but if this is the case you will be notified before you place your order. We reserve the right to replace items with a similar substitute of an equal or greater value in the very unusual circumstance that we are unable to obtain an item (we always strive to send what you order - if you don't like the substitute you can, of course, return it to us).

We aim to dispatch orders as quickly as possible providing all items are in stock. We do not send out packages on Saturdays or Sundays.

We cannot be held responsible for the delays caused by any third party.

UK Shipping Costs:

We try to keep postage costs to an absolute minimum.

International Shipping Costs:

Europe deliveries usually arrive within 3 working days. International deliveries usually arrive with 4-7 days. Because of the weight of sweets the International Carriage can sometimes be quite high, but experience has shown most people like to receive their order quickly. Your order will be sent by Air Freight usually taking from three to five working days for delivery. These rates are shown when ordering.

Back Orders:

Occasionally we may run short of certain items, if this happens we will hold your order until we can send it in its entirety or if our stock takes longer to arrive, we will send your consignment and ship the remaining as soon as we receive it.

Privacy Policy:

We guarantee that your details will not be disclosed to third parties. We hold your details under the Data Protection Act 1998. These are only used by us to dispatch your goods and to tell you of future promotions. You can request removal of your details at anytime.

Nut Allergies:

We stock many items from many different manufactures. It is with regret we are unable to assure you that the products that we supply will not have traces of nuts.

Returns Policy:

If there is a problem at all with the quality of the products, please return them, within 7 days of receipt, to: Village Sweet Shop, 36 Broadway, Codsall, Staffordshire WV8 2EL. Please enclose your contact details, any reference labels associated with the product and details of the problem.

Cancellation Policy:

As we aim to dispatch our orders as quickly as possible, anyone wishing to cancel their order must contact us on 01902 84 00 55 or email us at info@villagesweetshop.co.uk within 2 working hours of placing their order to discuss the cancellation.
